  • LivWithClairity: A Healthy Way To Approach Jealousy

    Everything is love in disguise

Jealousy is a nasty beast. I can imagine most, if not all people, have experienced jealousy in some form or another. It’s understandable in a world built on comparisons. I myself am not personally a jealous person by nature. Jealousy wasn’t something I struggled with. Envy was my go to drug for my own personal pain projections, which is also born from comparisons. With that said, this blog is focused on Jealousy.

Jealousy can be experienced at any moment, at any time, and through anyone, including yourself. It is an easy pool to jump into. The sweet allure of ego comparison makes that warm and inviting circus hard to resist. With that in mind, you can break free from this natural phenomenon. It takes practice and it can be done.

Since my departure from Rosie back in 2024, I thought about jealousy. I decided to venture down that rabbit hole. Like I had mentioned, I am not a jealous type. I recognize this to be a fact because from the day I started dating, I was fine with a boy choosing someone else over me. When they did that, I basically thought, “Okie dokie. Thank you for not wasting anymore of my time”. That’s it for me. I process the emotional pain afterwards. Then I simply accept the results. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Every boy I had given my heart to, right up to and including Rosie, had either left me for another woman, cheated on me with other women, or flirted with the idea of other encounters in some way. Yes it hurts. With that said, my focus had been on the person who hurt me. The pain for me lies in their broken integrity, not in the women they were with. The other females are victims of their own mind. I do not fault them. I do not bother with jealousy. This intrigues me.

Through hindsight and with the help of my observations, I can identify a jealous person. Jealousy is an insecurity born around expectations and comparisons. Jealousy is a secret foe who grows over time. The moment a suitable comparable comes into form, the “who am I” question forms in the mind.

Babies develop jealousy. This is their initial thought process. They are asserting their “this is who I am” identity. Adults can be big babies when they are not taught healthy boundaries and discernment from a young age. If you have been jealous, it comes by you honestly. If you are a jealous person and you know it, I am not going to shame you. Jealousy comes by you honestly. Jealousy is torturous not pleasant. My goal is to help you alleviate jealous thoughts. Let other people carry that weight.

Our world is a pretty place; it’s beautiful in fact. There is magic in the air everywhere. Pretty faces. Pretty places. Lots of toys. Lots of things to admire and brag about. There are many things to explore. There are mountains to conquer. There are rainbows to admire, and there are sexy bodies to devour. This is all true. What is also true is not all that you see glitters with gold. Sometimes it is nothing but shyte and drama wrapped inside a pretty parcel with a bow. Look inside the box before you decide to be jealous.

If your partner is flirting with another person, observe a hidden truth. The layer of truth is, your person has the integrity level of a deceitful person. This is who you would be giving your energy to. What’s more important, this person is who you would tie yourself. You co-create life experiences together. That’s risky business if you ask me. If you wish to compare, compare what you thought you knew, versus what your universe is showing you. A trigger and a blatant painful truth are windows of opportunity. Use your God given opportunity to break from jealousy and illusion love. Otherwise you would only suppress yourself.

Easier said than done. Humans are creatures of habit. When a person sees something pretty, they want to buff it up, shine it up, and keep it as a trophy. Then they do everything they can to present themselves to the world in a way that proves they are worthy of keeping it. This is imprisonment when the intentions from both parties are not pure. The chase is on to keep up with the Jones’s and no one better rock my boat sort of speech. Jealousy can result in a vicious downward spiral. Angry thoughts and emotions, including, despair, and downright vindictiveness are natural responses from a jealous mind. Once this occurs, it is extremely difficult to control. Once again, I shall stress, hindsight is a beautiful thing.

Self imprisonment is when an ego latches onto an identity which is also attached to a person they are with. I am his wife. I am his girlfriend. I am her husband. I am her boyfriend. These are labels which offer an ego an identity to latch onto. This approach creates inevitable jealousy and can create a toxic codependent relationship. No one wins in this scenario. The truth of the situation remains hidden. The drama keeps the ego mask firmly in place. You end up with internal torment and a broken sense of healthy love.

To break out of jealousy you must know your worth. Worth is not necessarily material gain. Your self worth is not how many toys you have and whether or not you got a degree in something. Your worth is not tied to education, creative expressions, nor your chosen identity. Your worth is your lived experience which helped you to develop your wisdom which then helped you to fine tune character. You are a work of art, period. There is no price tag which could come close to be able to reflect a number suitable for your virtue, your morals, your integrity, your heart, your mind, your connection to all that is, nor your personal conviction. This is you. Everything else is cosmetics.

To avoid jealousy focus on yourself. Identify the cracked moral compass of your partner or anyone else. See their true intentions and or their painful insecurities. See everyone involved for who they are truly choosing to be. Then ask yourself, what is the reason I attract these characters and what pattern in my life can I identify? The external view is the illusion. The energy which moves between spaces, places, people, and things is the same. You move with your energy. Your energy attracts them? What were you taught to expect? What do you expect from people? Do you love yourself enough regardless of circumstances? Could you choose homelessness over toxic love just on principles alone? These are questions to ask yourself. The answers highlight your self worth. Your self worth guides you to equal minded people. Know your worth to see the worth in another. Choose to trust your partner. If their moral compass is asque then accept and thank your universe for showing you.

Finally, may I also suggest journaling to get your emotions and thoughts out. Remain proactive whilst doing so. Reinforce the love you have for yourself. Identify what love is for you. Write your findings down. Doing so sends ripples of waves out to the ethereal realm. Your true divine person will receive your signal. The more you do it, the more you solidify what is true for you. This creates cosmic inspiration which allows both yourself and your person to tune into. Once this occurs, the law of attraction begins.

Trust yourself. Know your true worth. Let the pretty picture go. Energy morphs into beauty in so many ways. The more you soften your perception to the truth of what’s out there, and the more you honor your own integrity. The more you honor your integrity, the easier it is to set boundaries. The easy it is for you to honor your boundaries, the easier it is to walk away without jealousy if someone chooses to cross them. The more you accept the truth in someone’s intentions and outward appearance, the more beauty you see in places and faces, where you may not have necessarily been able to see it before.

The most powerful divine beings are quite often the ones you overlook at first glance. Trust yourself. Let jealousy go.
